Altar Rosary Society

Mission Statement

The purpose of our Society is to promote praying the Rosary and cultivate a greater devotion to our Lord in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar through Mary Queen of the Most Holy Rosary.

The Altar Rosary Society has played an important part of St. Anthony’s Parish.

Membership is open to all ladies of the parish. We meet on the 1st Sunday of the month and begin by praying the Rosary at 7:25 a.m. Our meetings are held after the 8:00 Mass and membership is $5.00 per year.

Some of our responsibilities include the purchase and maintenance of altar linens, the priests’ vestments, stoles and cassocks and care of the altar server cassocks and surpluses, We set up the seasonal decorations and flowers during Easter, Advent and Christmas. Our Society also maintains the votive candles and furnish the cleaning supplies, vacuum cleaners, etc. required to maintain the church.

Our members, their spouses and families are also involved with ACTS, Men’s Club, Guadalupana Society, Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Eucharist, lectors, choir members, ushers, and assist with the annual church festival and cleaning of the church.

Our flower purchases are supplemented by parishioner contributions during Easter and Christmas. Other income is derived from the three or four bake sales we have each year and candle sales.

We are very grateful to the parishioners of St. Anthony for their support and assistance throughout the year. God’s blessings to all.
